An imaginative program of awards have been instated my Chairman Elly Ezra, PDG and while the deadline has passed for this year’s submissions (see below) there is no doubt that the imaginative and creative mind of the Chairman will come up with a new set of rules and prizes for 07-08. Join the fun, the challenge and the rewards.
MEMBERSHIP CONTEST
RI MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND EXTENSION AWARD
This program recognizes membership growth in existing clubs, retention of current club members, and the establishment of new clubs. Districts that meet or exceed their membership goal also receive recognition.
This is given to:
- Overall Growth – club with the highest growth rate (%)
- Recruitment – Club with the most new members inducted
- Retention – Club with the highest retention rate (%)
- New Clubs – club(s) that sponsored a new club(s)
Retention is defined as the % of club members who joined the club on or before July 1 and are still members of the club on May 15.
In addition, governors of districts that meet or exceed their membership goals by May 15th may receive special district membership recognition from the RI President. This District Governor loves to win awards, so let’s all try hard to get her a certificate!! (You must keep your sense of humor at all times)

- July 1, 2007: # of members in your club is: _______________
- Induct as many members as possible, don’t let any leave!!
- April 15th (RI is an international organization, so they don’t run on the US Tax calendar - so, right after you submit your taxes I need this information - OK you can do this on the 16th !!) Seriously, please fill in the information on the bottom of this form and fax the whole page to me (908) 685-1925 on or around April 15th.
