Public Relations and Awareness

"Public Image" refers to all of the public relations activities that promote the Rotary message and publicize our good works, both at the District and at the club level.
We have begun the process of moving toward a more "tech savy" district, while still utilizing more traditional means of getting the word out. Press releases, billboards, radio broadcasts all contribute to that effort. We maintain a Facebook page, are Linked-in to a District Rotary group, and are sending tweets on Twitter.
In addition to our social media presence, our District website is connected to the District and Club database (DaCdb), making the most effective use of the data we maintain.
Where is your own club in this process? Do you have a website? Is your website current? What about a Facebook page? Twitter? Linked-in? Not everyone uses each of these, but many people use one or more. To get the message out, we need to use as many tools as possible.
