Rotaract
Valentines Program to support the Crisis Ministry of Trenton and Princeton
The Princeton Rotaractors are participating with the Princeton Rotary Club to raise funds and food contributions for our February Valentines Program to support the Crisis Ministry in Trenton and Princeton. Last year 22 tons of canned foods were collected and contributed by many of the local organizations ( Interact, other school clubs, Rotaract and community groups such as the Scouts ).
Scholar Ship Program
The Scholar Ship, a semester-length oceangoing academic program aboard a dedicated passenger ship, is offering up to 80 USD5,000 scholarships during the 2007-08 academic year to Rotaractors who have a demonstrated record of community leadership and academic achievement. The program offers both an undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum.
In addition to their studies, Rotaractors will help develop and conduct community service projects in each port of call. As there won’t be a Rotaract club aboard the ship, participants must ask their current club about a leave of absence or plan to attend make-up meetings with local Rotaractors in the cities they visit.
The Scholar Ship’s academic program has been developed in cooperation with an international consortium of universities. Ports of call in 2007-08 include Buenos Aires, Argentina; Cape Town, South Africa; Casablanca, Morocco; Lisbon, Portugal; Shanghai, China; and Sydney, Australia. Learn about areas of study, costs, and admission requirements, and find an application at www.thescholarship.com/rotaract.
