Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women, ages 18 to 30. Rotaract clubs are either community or university based, and are sponsored by a local Rotary club. This makes the Rotaract club true "partners in service" and key members of the family of Rotary.

As one of Rotary’s most significant and fastest-growing service programs, with more than 8,400 clubs in about 170 countries and geographical areas, Rotaract has become a worldwide phenomenon.

Rotaract Clubs in District 7510

In our District, the inaugural Rotaract Club was chartered as the Raritan Valley Community College Rotaract Club. In December, 2011, this club inducted eighteen students. In 2011-2012, the Rotaract Club participated in more than a dozen humanitarian efforts in its service area. Club members worked on events that included Cooking for SHIP, Toys for Tots, Holiday Happiness, Rotary Bingo Night, Interfaith Dinner, Tutoring Project, Garbage Pickup, and the Friends of Nepal Benefit Dinner. The Club also made an impact internationally by assisting with fundraising for micro-credit loans to people in poverty stricken areas in Nepal.

In 2014-2015, two new Rotaract clubs were chartered - the Rotaract Club at Rutgers New Brunswick, and the Rotaract Club at Kean University.

How Does it Work?

All Rotaract efforts begin at the local, grassroots level, with members addressing their communities’ physical and social needs while promoting international understanding and peace through a framework of friendship and service.
