2016 RYLA Class - June 17, 18, 19 at Drew University

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is Rotary's leadership training program for young people. RYLA participants can be ages 14-30, but clubs and districts can choose to focus on a narrower age range. District 7470 and 7510 will limit participants to students in their junior year only.

RYLA emphasizes leadership, citizenship, and personal growth, and aims to:

Demonstrate Rotary's respect and concern for youth

  • Provide an effective training experience for selected youth and potential leaders
  • Encourage leadership of youth by youth
  • Recognize publicly young people who are rendering service to their communities

What a mother has to say about RYLA

Just a quick appreciative note of thanks to relay to you what a tremendous, and I do mean tremendous, time my son, had this past weekend as part of the RYLA Conference. I really can't recall when he has had more fun. He made so many great new friends (8 new friends for Facebook!) at the conference, plus he got so much out of the various workshops.

I can't possibly begin to remotely thank you enough for providing and sponsoring such an awesome program for the school kids. It was a true lifetime experience for Nils as he looks forward to being a Rotary Club member himself some day.

EAT, DRINK AND SHARE FUNDRAISER - Our District's one and only fundraiser for the Rotary Foundation will be held at the Pines Manor on November 13 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Register on-line by clicking on the image below.
