Beginning July 1, 2008, Rotary District 7510 implemented a new program aimed at recognizing Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts throughout our five-county area. This program centers around presenting certificates of accomplishment to young men who have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, and young women who have earned the Gold Award.
We have created a network of Rotarian presenters from our local Rotary Clubs, each of whom delivers a brief talk on the philosophical bonds between Rotary and Scouting followed by the certificate presentation before audiences of parents and local community leaders and volunteers.
As of September, 2012, over 380 certificates have been presented by 62 Rotarians representing 27 Rotary Clubs.
